The purpose of the Invasive Species Conference was to demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding the threats posed by the most significant invasive species in Kentucky and to propose and share possible solutions. This conference helped to create linkages within and across organizations to capitalize on funding, research and applied opportunities. There will be a Tsuga Art & Music event on Friday, November 21st, 2008. This event is aimed at raising awareness about the current threat to eastern hemlock trees. All proceeds will benefit Save Kentucky's Hemlocks, a partnership of citizens, non-profits and government agencies working together to save eastern hemlocks.
