Mentoring Information
KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF STATE EXTENSION PROFESSIONALS
In keeping with the goals of the KASEP to encourage, foster, and promote professional improvement of its members. KASEP has developed a program to offer mentoring services to junior state Extension professionals, especially new hires. These services include: introduction to people of similar professional track who are willing to assist with professional development of our recently hired/junior colleagues. Also to serve as a guide and a coach to help them avoid mistakes, address concerns, answer questions and provide a sounding board for ideas.
These services will be available to Extension Specialists, Extension Associates, and professionals in positions with Extension appointments or assignments at the University of Kentucky and Kentucky State University. Mentoring relationships will be established on a case by case basis, which includes working within the context of existing mentoring activities within departments/units, as appropriate.
