Welcome to Kentucky's Beginning Farmer Program

The KyFarmStart website is designed as an online learning tool to provide beginning farmers with a variety of resources including access to publications and links, as well as learning lessons designed specifically for beginning farmers. In addition to the online program, the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is offering a series of face-to-face educational programs and on-farm demonstration geared specifically to the needs of beginning farmers.

"Third Thursday Thing"

Join Kentucky State University each month for a FREE topical Workshop, presented by experts in agriculture, and lunch prepared with KSU's homegrown food. Programs are usually 10am to 3pm at the Kentucky State Univesity Research Farm. Please contact Kentucky State University ahead of time if you will bring a large group.
