Welcome to Kentucky's Beginning Farmer Program

The KyFarmStart website is designed as an online learning tool to provide beginning farmers with a variety of resources including access to publications and links, as well as learning lessons designed specifically for beginning farmers. In addition to the online program, the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is offering a series of face-to-face educational programs and on-farm demonstration geared specifically to the needs of beginning farmers.

Upcoming Events

The KyFarmStart program will begin in Madison and Garrard Counties on September 4, 2013. This course will meet every Wednesday for the following ten weeks at noon to 3:00 pm and lunch will be provided. Call the Madison County Extension office @ (859) 623-4072 for more information and registration.
