In order to learn how to become a farmer you must get your hands on as many resources as you can find. Those resources come in many forms, such as a classroom lecture, online lessons, a mentor that you follow, your county extension agent, publications that have been written by extension specialist, other USDA agencies and the multitude of information that is available on the web.

KyFarmStart cannot give you the experiences that comes with years of farming, but we can provide learning opportunities so you know how to get started and become a successful farmer.
