Coldstream, Maine Chance and Spindletop Farms combined as Central Kentucky Research Station (North Farm) are located in Lexington (Fayette County), on the opposite end of the city, this combined 3,000 acres is home to dairy cattle, poultry, horses, forages and grain crops, tobacco and turf.

Mission statement - The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture has a mission of research, education, and service. The Department of Management Operations is a non-academic unit formed to support all of the College Missions. Support is available by way of Management Operations staff on the University of Kentucky campus and at other research farm locations throughout Kentucky. Services provided are campus support services, administration of motor pool vehicle fleets, operation of off-campus facilities and equipment, maintenance and operation of University farms, and construction of minor research facilities.
