Joint Meeting of the Mycological Society of America (MSA) and of the International Symposium on Fungal Endophytes of Grasses (ISFEG).

June 28-July 1, 2010.

Mark your calendars now, and plan to attend the very first joint meeting of the Mycological Society of America and the International Symposium on Fungal Endophytes of Grasses in Lexington, Kentucky, from June 28-July 1, 2010.

Lexington is located in the beautiful bluegrass country of central Kentucky, famous for its horse farms and bourbon distilleries. It is within a day’s drive of 75 percent of the U.S. population, and it also has its own airport (http://www.bluegrassairport.com), only ten minutes from downtown.

There is a foray planned on Sunday, June 27, to Bernheim Forest (http://www.bernheim.org/ index.html). Bernheim is a private educational facility dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Kentucky’s native ecosystems, including forests, waterlands, and grasslands.

A final banquet will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park (http://www.kyhorsepark. com/) on July 1.  The price of admission to the banquet will include access to all of the Horse Park attractions, including the International Museum of the Horse and the American Saddlebred Museum, self-guided tour of the barns and grounds, hayrides and carriage rides, gift shop, and of course the resident horses which include famous race and movie horses as well as representatives of the various horse breeds.  The banquet will feature local Kentucky fare and entertainment.

We hope to see you there!!
