Harold R. Burton Endowed Professorship in Plant Biochemistry

The “Harold R. Burton Endowed Professorship in Plant Biochemistry” is awarded to a faculty member in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences who:

1. Conducts research in the area of plant biochemistry;
2. Is recognized as an outstanding leader in that field;
3. Contributes to the advancement of new knowledge; and
4. Has a strong research program underway involving other faculty, staff, and students.

The Professorship is awarded by the Dean of the College of Agriculture following the recommendation of the selection committee. The Professorship is held for three years and may be renewed for a second three-year term.
