RAISING EXHIBITION POULTRY

Poultry shows provide a forum for poultry breeders to display the 'fruits of their hard work.' Many poultry breeders are involved in raising the 'perfect' purebred chicken, turkey, duck or goose for the species and breed they are raising, at least as defined in the Standard of Perfections developed by the American Poultry Association and the American Bantam Association. Similar standards are also produced for other countries. These are also standards for pigeons set out by the National Pigeon Association.
