New Handout on the Baby Boom generation
“Understanding the Baby
Boom Bubble” helps put the recent population projections for those
65 years old and over into context. Written with Dr. Amy Hosier,
this publication also address some programming ideas for Extension

Population Projections can
give us some idea of what to expect in the future. Using local
demographic patterns and trends in mortality, fertility, and migration,
the Kentucky State Data Center produces population projections for
counties in Kentucky.

The U.S. Census Bureau’s
website for accessing data from the American Community Survey, the 2010
Census, the population estimates, and many other data source, has been
redesigned.
This time, a user has
several options for accessing data from the Census Bureau.

“Community Facts” gives you the most up-to-date profiles.

“Guided Search” can help you access data that are more detailed.
·
“Advanced Search” is very similar to how the website looked before this
newest re-design and can help you access the most detailed data
available
