The type of data available from the American Community Survey

depends on the size of your community or county.

 

For areas with populations of less than 20,000 persons, the ACS provides

5-year estimates only. 

 

For areas with populations of 65,000 persons or more, the ACS provides

1, 3, and 5-year estimates.

 

For areas with populations between these, the ACS provides 3 and 5-year estimates.

Adair, Allen, Ballard, Bath, Bourbon, Bracken, Breathitt, Breckinridge, Butler, Caldwell, Carlisle, Carroll, Casey, Clinton, Crittenden, Cumberland, Edmonson, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Fulton, Gallatin, Garrard, Green, Hancock, Harrison, Hart, Henry, Hickman, Jackson, Knott, Larue, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Lewis, Livingston, Lyon, Magoffin, Marion, Martin, Mason, McCreary, McLean, Menifee, Metcalfe, Monroe, Morgan, Nicholas, Owen, Owsley, Pendleton, Powell, Robertson, Rockcastle, Russell, Simpson, Spencer, Todd, Trigg, Trimble, Union, Washington, Webster, and Wolfe.

 

3 and 5-year estimates

 

42 counties in Kentucky have only 3 and 5-year estimates:

 

Anderson, Barren, Bell, Boyd, Boyle, Calloway, Carter, Clark, Clay, Floyd, Franklin, Grant, Graves, Grayson, Greenup, Harlan,  Henderson, Hopkins, Jessamine, Johnson, Knox, Laurel, Letcher, Lincoln, Logan, Marshall, Meade, Mercer, Montgomery, Muhlenberg, Nelson, Ohio, Oldham, Perry, Pulaski, Rowan, Scott, Shelby, Taylor, Wayne, Whitley, and Woodford.

 

1, 3, and 5-year estimates

 

13 counties in Kentucky have all three types of estimates:
