Kentucky: By The Numbers
~ Aging Projections ~
In the upcoming years, baby boomers will be reaching retirement age.
This means that the number of people over the age of 65 years old will be increasing.
This issue of Kentucky: By The Numbers provides population projections for older age groups in Kentucky. The Kentucky State Data Center produces population projections for counties in Kentucky by using local demographic patterns and trends in mortality, fertility, and migration.
To see a line graph with the projections in your county for every 5 years, visit the Building Strong Families for Kentucky 2013 county profiles at http://hes.uky.edu/StrongFamilies
