Phi Upsilon Omicron
Phi Upsilon Omicron is a national honor society for students in Family and Consumer Sciences and the related programs in the School of Human Environmental Sciences. The purposes of Phi U are to establish and strengthen the bonds of friendship, to promote the professional and intellectual development of its members, and to advance and promote the professions. Iota Chapter at UK was chartered in 1922. Members of Phi U are chosen on the basis of scholarship, leadership, dependability, spirit of service, and professional attitude. Requirements include a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (undergraduate); 3.2 (graduate). The student must be at least a second semester sophomore (45 hours), or if a transfer student, be in their second semester on campus. Graduate students must have completed 12 graduate credits. Each applicant must show evidence of leadership and participation within the School, as well as activities outside the School.
