University of Kentucky National Ag. Week 2024
National Agriculture Week 2024 invites all to participate in informational and inspirational events to learn more about this dynamic industry!

A week dedicated to celebrating and appreciating agriculture! 

National Agriculture Week, March 18-22, celebrates and acknowledges the agricultural industry and the role it plays in stabilizing the economy!

Hosted by the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, along with generous sponsors and partners, ALL are invited to participate in fun events that will help inform and inspire about how agriculture touches everything and everyone.

Events include:

  • Ag-vocacy Day (Mon., Mar. 18, 12:30pm-3pm): Looking for ways to get involved? Join us at the Jacobs Science Building for a Student Involvement Fair where you can get connected to our many student and professional organizations!
  • Ag Trivia Night (Tues., Mar. 19, 6pm-8pm)Grab a friend, and join students, faculty, staff and alumni at Wise Bird Cider for a fun evening and test your ag knowledge! This event is sponsored by the UK M-G CAFE Alumni Association.
  • Careers & Commodities (Wed., Mar. 20, 10:30am - 2:30pm): Join us at Ag North to network with employers and commodity partners and get a free t-shirt celebrating Ag Week! Open to all students.
  • Ag Day Party (Wed. Mar. 20, 6 p.m.): The UK Collegiate Farm Bureau is hosting a party for agriculture in Ag North. All students are invited for fun games and fellowship.
  • Health & Wellness (Thurs., Mar. 21, 6:30pm-8:30pm): It's movie night! Grab a seat in Funkhouser room 307 and enjoy free snacks from Campus Kitchen as we watch Before the Plate.
  • Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Mental Health Training (Thurs. Mar. 21, 6pm): The UK Agricultural Education and The Ag Ed Society are your hosts for this "challenge coin" program, training individuals on proper ways to handle mental health crises in the agriculture industry. Join representatives from the KDA and Raising Hope in W.P. Garrigus Building, Room 109. RSVP is required here.
  • Gratitude & Community (Fri. Mar. 22, 10am-2pm): Agriculture really is for all. Discover the many ways that you can give back through our service opportunities!
