Pumpkin Days

Preschool students gathered pumpkins during Pumpkin Days at the Robinson Center for Appalachian Resource Sustainability (RCARS).

Activities, games and more awaits at Pumpkin Days 2023!

The Robinson Center for Appalachian Resource Sustainability (RCARS), part of the Cooperative Extension at the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, welcomes kids, classrooms and families to the upcoming Pumpkin Days event Sept. 26-27.

Over the years, several thousand folks have enjoyed our fun pumpkin-related activities such as pumpkin carving, coloring, tasting, and more.

At this year's event, students will learn about various pumpkin, health and agricultural-related topics. Each youth will receive their very own pumpkin.

Kindergarten and first grade classes are invited on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Headstart and pre-school classes are invited on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 2 p.m. each day.
