Wheat Field Day 2024
This annual event has a long-standing tradition of providing attendees with the opportunity to learn about the latest research and trends in wheat.

A field day dedicated to wheat!

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Grain and Forage Center of Excellence specialists, in collaboration with the Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association, presents Wheat Field Day 2024 at the UK Research Education Center at Princeton on May 14.

The annual meeting helps producers learn more about the latest research and trends in wheat production, sciences and more.

Topics include:

  • Evolution of Carbon Markets: Are There Opportunities for Kentucky Wheat Producers?
  • Wheat Disease Update
  • Wheat Breeding: Process and Methods
  • Wheat Fertilization
  • Residual Herbicide Timing for Ryegrass Control in Wheat
  • International, Domestic, and Local Trends That Inform Wheat Marketing Decisions
  • Wheat Variety Trial (Walk Through) and Selection Process for Desirable Genetic Traits

Registration begins at 8 a.m. CDT and the program starts at 9 a.m. Continuing educational credits are available for certified crop advisors and pesticide applicators.
